“Most of us have learned to be dispassionate about evil, to look it in the face and find, as often as not, our own grinning reflections with which we do not argue, but good is another matter. Few have stared at that long enough to accept that its face too is grotesque, that in us the good is something under construction. The modes of evil usually receive worthy expression. The modes of good have to be satisfied with a cliché or a smoothing down that will soften their real look.”
-Flannery O'Connor

INO Records
Gospel music is music that is written to express either personal, spiritual or a communal belief regarding Christian life. For those who believe, this genre provides a way for all to come together as one, look ahead to the future, and refurbish our faith in the lord.  According to many studies, the history of gospel music dates back to the 18th century. This was an era where hymns were usually lined and repeated in a call and response fashion. On the other hand, the spiritual and work songs of the African slaves came along. From the times when gospel was first introduced, to present day singing, gospel music is still evolving. Many gospel music artists believe that it is a genre that is now coming into the mainstream network. INO Records is a record label that aims to work with artists who have a unique message, excellent artistry and spiritual maturity while serving them well through partnering. Above all, the label's main goal is to know God and make Him known through products that are artistically excellent and culturally relevant. The label has signed many huge gospel acts to its name. Some are MercyMe (one of the groups I have been listening to for this entire journey), Jonny Diaz, Phil Wickham, and Disciple.

  1. Adding stark colors to the background of some of your text may be helpful in easing the effort of reading it but I think you could achieve the same effect with simply using white text. This way you wouldn't have to sacrifice a sense of style and still have your words be easy to read.

    1. I agree. It's a bit distracting. White text would be more appealing.

  2. I really like the idea of gospel music throughout the South.

You should def. think about adding some older gospel tunes to your blog. If nothing else, you gotta put up "Down to the river to pray by Allison Kraus
